Aruba Help - where to stay
we are planning to go back to Aruba in April for our 5 yr anniversary. we stayed at the Hyatt for our honeymoon and loved it.
i'm thinking of trying someplace different but i'm driving myself crazy researching
i narrowed it down to the following:
Marriott - the tradewinds lounge looks awesome. not sure if its worth the extra $$$
Bucati Resort - sounds nice but very quiet. we are looking to relax but also looking to have some fun
Radisson -somebody just recommended today. so didn't find too much info yet
Hyatt - could always go back since we loved it so much the first time
any feedback? it will be just the two of us. just want to kick back and relax. we did all the tours when we went 5 yrs ago.
TIA

Aruba Help - where to stay
I have stayed at the Marriott Ocean Club, Hyatt, and Westin. I loved both the Hyatt and Marriott properties (the hotel looked really nice) and thought the Westin was eh. I've heard good things about the Radisson as well.
I would pick the Hyatt or Marriott.

Re: Aruba Help - where to stay
I have limited experience because I have only stayed at the Marriott hotel and the Marriott Surf Club, but I absolutely love it there and highly recommend any Marriott in Aruba. We ate at the Hyatt and it was extremely nice as well.
I haven't heard anything bad about the Radisson or the Westin, but I have never heard anyone rave about them either.

highly recommend the radisson. it was wonderful. we stayed in the 3 story building so it was simple to just walk out onto the resort and the eating areas.

Aruba Help - where to stay
Stayed at Bucuti for our HM last October and LOVED it! DH was against a beach vacation, saying he didn't want to just lay on the beach for a week and within a day, he was saying he would come back there. It is definitely quiet, but its a great resort that caters to HMers and those celebrating an anniversary. They do not allow any under 18, and you never have to fight for a lounge by the pool or on the beach. The beach is beautiful. They give you a red flag on a little pole that you stick in the sand whenever you want them to bring you a drink or anything else. Its a 5 minute ($9) cab ride to the high rise section, so you can pretty much go there whenever you want to. For us being where it was quiet and didn't have to get up early to put towels out on lounges to "save" them was great. And the staff is super friendly an helpful. Its a totally different feel from a big resort (the owner is around almost every day, and is very hands on, always asking if everything is ok), so if you're good with that, I would say its a great place to go.

Re: Aruba Help - where to stay
I stayed at the Riu on my HM, but that's an AI. ' My family has stayed at the Westin and Radisson. They much prefer the Radisson and rave about it. They've recommended it to people and everyone who stays there loves it.

Re: Aruba Help - where to stay
We've been there twice, first time we stayed at the RIU, second time we stayed at Amsterdam Manor in the low rise section.
We loved amsterdam manor!! It was so quiet, didn't have to fight for a palapa. The staff was unbelieveable and the rooms were awesome. We took the bus into the high rise area and into the capital which I thought would be annoying but it was great!
