Anyone watch the premier last night? What did you think?

I was just going to post a thread about this show.
DH & I really liked it. The concept is cool, they do a good job with the graphics. Seeing O'Hare Airport and Wrigley Field abandoned and empty was chilly.
I'm curious to know how Aaron and Grace have those medallions that allow energy to be turned on and who she was typing to.
She knows what it does, but does he?
Can't wait to see next week's episdoe.

I thought it was pretty good. Not 100% sold yet, but will definitely watch again. I hate shows where there is an ongoing mystery that never seems to get solved, but I heard an interview with the writer(?)/director(?) who said this show will not be like that - things will get explained as the show goes along. If that is truly the case, I think I'm in!

It's even better when you look past the ongoing mystery and stick with a show only to have it cancelled. (Flashforward, I'm looking at you.  )
I wasn't all that impressed by the show. DH seemed to really enjoy it but I was just eh. I compare every series premiere to the premiere of Lost where I was just instantly sucked in and wanted, no needed more! I was, however, surprised by how violent it was! I guess hence the 10 PM slot.

DH and i really liked it and plan to keep watching. I agree with the above poster. I hate getting into a show that leads up to some explaining and then gets cancelled.

It was okay. I think I will give it a second chance. The one thing I don't like about it is how groomed and done up the actors look. Their clothes don't look a bit warn. Charlie hair is perfect. Can tell she has makeup on. That guy that saves her looks way to clean cut. I'm looking way into things but I would rather them look more like we would really look 15 years after all modern convinces are gone.

 glad I wasn't the only one bothered by that! Looked like that Nate guy got a buzz cut at the local barber shop!

I see why, boring!!!! Charlie is just annoying. I hate all the fight scenes, way too many. The acting is pretty bad IMO. Oh and like I said already, not liking how put together some of them look. Charlie clothes look brand new and hair looks great. Not what I would think you would look like hiking in the woods with no modern conviences. Plus that guy Nate really bothers me. He looks like he just got out of a modeling shoot and decided to put a bow and arrow on his back. So clean cut for living in the woods. Not sure if I will be watching anymore.

Same here. I'm going to have Tivo record them, but I'm not going to watch it unless I hear it got much better and its not going to be cancelled.
IMO The show isn't good enough to invest time into it, when it is questionable that it will still be around.

The show would have been a good mini series. I can't see it lasting more than one season. You already know that they can turn back on the electric so there is really no point to the whole thing lol.

This. The fight scenes bore me the most, so stupid.
I just want to know why the power when out, once they can answer that I really don't care about the rest. Boring.

Yes, yes, and yes. The entire episode bored/annoyed me until about the last 5 minutes - then the plot turned interesting for a few seconds. The storyline itself is intriguing to me, but the acting is so awful it makes me not want to stick around to find out what happens next.

It's okay. Acting is pretty bad. And the main girl is dressed way too similarly to Hunger Games outfits for me.
I didn't even realize that was Billy Burke--I knew I recognized him but couldn't place it.

I like it. Granted the first episode was way better than the second. It reminds me of Flash Forward which I'm still upset was cancelled after a season and I'm reluctant to get involved in another show like it!
I just have to say that there is no way Independence Hall would look that bad after 15 years. It's over 235 years old and survived a good 150 of those years without electicity
Sticking with it though.
