Full Name or Nickname
I am putting the final touches on DS nursery and would like to hang his name up on the wall. The thing is we never call him by his full name, we call him by his nickname (just a shortened version of his name). So now I'm not sure if should do his full name or nickname. What do you think?

Personally I would do full name. I always had things that said Pamela, even though everyone called me Pam.

Needless to say her name is not actually "AJ" but its the ONLY name we call her. She's 4 and yes she knows her other name but still she will tell her her name is "AJ" _____. She even signs all her craft projects with AJ.

We have the nickname on the wall, slightly cheaper! Lol.
We mainly call her by her nickname anyway.

I would put full name but its matter of personal preference, what you think looks best.
We call my son AJ, I like to get all name items with his full name - Alexander or Alex if thats all they have. I do it so he sees what his full name is. I want him to learn how to write his full name not AJ. Even though everyone calls him AJ.
He is 3 when you ask his name he says AJ then you have to say whats your full name to for him to say Alexander Joseph.

We put his nickname as its what we call him. His full name is Giovanni we put Gio on his wall.

It depends for us
 is Emily but we call her Emmy so her stocking and wall letters say Emmy. The only reason her name isn't legally Emmy is because DH wanted it short for Emily.
 is Sawyer and we call him Saw, but his stocking and wall letters say Sawyer

I totally thought your daughter's given name was Emmy!
Um, we don't have letters on the wall so I have nothing meaningful to add to this conversation. But if we did, it would be her full name because she doesn't/won't have a nickname.

my DD's birth certificate name is Elizabeth...we have only ever called her Lily so she has that on everything. i think it depends...if you name a kid Daniel and call him Dan i would still put Daniel on the wall. it depends on how much you use it or how close it is to the name.
let me tell that i now wish DH and i had just names her Lily b.c she started Kindergarten this week and everyone calls her Elizabeth and she stares at them!
