If you closed recently- How long after you got your appraisal done did you close?
Appraisal was done last Monday, was notified today that it appraised without any issues and that the buyer has a verbal commitment with conditions (cant be told what the conditions are since we're not the buyers, but RE agent thinks its prob the standard stuff like securing property insurance, etc).
Just curious how long from appraisal being done/getting it back that you were able to close. Attorney is saying it can still be a while, RE agent thinks probably 1st week of Sept. I'd like to live in the same state as my DH someday, so was hoping it would be sooner rather than later

if i remember correctly there were still things after the appraisal that needed to be done-i want to say we closed about 3-4 weeks later?

When we bought this house, it was a short sale, so all of the rules/timelines were different (plus, it was 3 years ago, so that, too, made things very different). If i google anymore, i think my head will explode

It depends what the conditions are. Could be that they need to provide more income verification, etc. so it depends when they get that info to the bank and it gets processed. I believe that our buyers had a commitment in hand about 2-3 weeks after the appraisal? But ILs sold their house and it was weeks and weeks after the appraisal before their buyers got a commitment because they had a cash business, rental properties, etc. and the bank was on them for more documentation. What is the date in your contract for the commitment? If it's close, I'd have your attorney call theirs and just see if everything's on track and to get an update. GL

Took about 6-7 wks or so but we had issues comes up in the title search that had to be resolved by the seller.

About 5-6 weeks. We were delayed about a week b/c we had to renegotiate since the appraisal came back low.

If I remember correctly it was about a week, or so??? Looking at everyone elses answers I'm thinking maybe 4 weeks....
ETA. You are talking about the mortgage company right?
