Parks for weekly group workouts

So I'm trying to start a Fit Club and I want to do it at a park. I know some parks require a permit for events like this and I'm trying to find a park where we can just find and spot and workout. Maybe at a park where you can have large groups for BBQs would be a good location but I'm not sure which parks allow this. I was wondering if anyone had suggestions? Im on the border of Suffolk and Nassau

FYI this is a free workout for whoever comes which is why I'm looking for a place that doesn't require a fee like a community center.
Thanks for the suggestions!

What about Argyle Lake in Babylon? I know many of the town parks require you to by a parking pass this time of year. My office overlooks the lake and I see a lot of people who park in our lot to go and use the park for an hour.

Don't know off-hand if permits are required.

Gardiners Park in Bayshore

Thinking they may not have a fee because there is no fee to enter these parks

P.S. this is a great idea. I'd love to go to something like this

Once I figure out where, I'll make an announcement on here. Anyone and everyone is welcome to come and workout! I'm also looking into getting a spot at a community center although I was trying to avoid that.
