My team green baby...who just couldn't wait to get here is a......
GIRL!!!!!!!! We are blessed with another beautiful, sweet daughter! Regan (Ree-gan) Marie was born on 5/9/12 at 4:04am, 6lbs 7oz and 19" long.
I still haven't wrapped my head around how she entered this world. Definitely NOT how I would have planned things. I'll write a more detailed birth story but here are the "highlights"...water broke at 1:30am (same exact time as DD1!); got to hospital by 2:15; contractions started by 3:00 and by 3:30 they were about 3 mins apart and intense. I was still in triage and my doc hadn't gotten to the hospital yet. My DH was running around asking every nurse to get me the anesthesiologist....who we found out was in an emergency delivery!!!! OMG my worst nightmare come true.  My doc showed up at 3:55...and I told him I HAD to push, but I needed drugs! He rushed me into a delivery room, did an internal and said the scariest words I have ever heard..."I know this wasn't our plan, but the epi won't be here in time, you need to push now bc the baby is coming". I can't even describe what those words did to me. I am the BIGGEST wimp!!!! I'll leave out the foul things that came out of my mouth...but three DRUG FREE pushes later my sweet little girl entered the world!!!! It was surreal.
I will say recovery has been a cinch without any drugs, and I applaud any woman who voluntarily has a drug free birth.
I am going home from hospital in a few hours and will post pics soon! I cannot believe my (secret) wish of having two little girls has come true....DH and I are over the moon! Now to just block that delivery from my mind... Lol.
Good luck ladies!!!!! No matter how it goes down, once you hold that baby nothing else matters!
