Dylan's here! I had my baby today!
Yesterday was my edd & I thought that he'd never arrive on the actual day, but boy was I wrong lol Please let me introduce Dylan Jacob 8lbs 12oz & 21 1/2" long
ETA: I can't seem to post a pic from my phone :( I'll try when I get home
Here's his drug-free birth story :)
After a regular day of plain old discomfort with little to no contractions, I suddenly had one at 3:50pm that was so terrible that I jumped off of the couch & onto the floor in pain. From then on they were REALLY strong & were just about every 3-5 min so we called my parents to come & get ds#1 ASAP. I was in my L&D room by 4:50pm & little Mr. In-a-Hurry arrived at 5:31pm after about 5 min of pushing. It took 1 hour & 40 min from the very 1st contraction to delivery!
After walking around at 3cm for 3 1/2 weeks, I was already 8cm when I got to the hospital & things progressed sooo quickly that I had a drug-free birth. I had wanted to try for one, but was so panicked because things were going so quickly & the pain had gone from 0 to 10 in almost no time that I was begging for an epi. Because things were going so quick, though, I couldn't get one & I have to say that I'm actually glad that I didn't have the option in the end. I felt ok after the birth of my 1st, but I felt 100% the second that I delivered this time (I didn't tear or need an episiotomy so I'm sure that helped a lot too!). It was both a really scary & amazing experience at the same time & after ds#1's 19 hour labor, I STILL can't wrap my mind around how it went down this time lol Now only if I could get some sleep

What a great birth story! I am totally freaking out that #2 is going to be this fast -- or faster -- and I won't make it to the hospital! Glad you made it!

I have to admit, I figured that it would go quicker, but this was pretty shocking lol The docs & nurses told me that I set the daily speed record & were joking around that if we ever have a 3rd we'd better schedule an induction since we'd probably never make it to the hospital lol
