Anyone eat cottage cheese?

I've been having this for breakfast with fruit and while that's pretty good, I am looking for other ways to eat it, I cannot stand it plain

Any ideas?

I eat my cottage cheese with grapes. It is the ONLY way I enjoy it.

But some people eat it over a salad, with peppers and cucumbers. Maybe you'd like that?

I've also seen some people eat it almost like plain yogurt, drizzling honey or cinnamon or other flavorings into it.

I personally can't imagine cottage cheese without fruit though.

I like a little salt on mine. With sweet cantelope. I also like it with strawberry jelly.

i love whipped cottage cheese the best bc the curds are really tiny and its a little bit salty. i eat it with sweet bell peppers (i get the big bag from bjs) or I put it on top of a plain rice cake. i like something crunchy with it to balance the mushiness

cut up an apple, add some cinnamon and you can add nuts too! YUM!

I have only ever eaten it with fruit.

These are tasty sounding ideas though!

I like it plain usually, or with fruit. If you want to put something in for flavor, a little bit of maple syrup or honey is good. I like to spread the whipped variety on toast.

I get some very odd eating habits from living with one of my grandmothers (who was not a good cook) when I was growing up. So this morning actually, I had cottage cheese on toast with turkey bacon on top.

Mix it w/ some fat free cool whip and some sweetner add berries to it, it tastes like cheesecake. YUM!

As a snack I like it plain or with a fruit yogurt. I take a spoon of cottage cheese and then a spoon of yogurt. Or I mix them together. Delicious.

I used to have it with pasta when I was little - my dad would use it like some people use ricotta because it is a 'perfect protein'. He'd also do cottage cheese 'crepes' - he'd make homemade whipped cream with just a touch of sugar and then fold cottage cheese. He'd spoon that mixture into crepes and top with fresh fruit.. like strawberries. Yuuuuuuum..

DH eats it every morning mixed with greek yogurt. I can't swallow it..idk why

I always add some granola to it & drizzle with a little honey.

Here is one of my favorite healthy pasta dishes a spinoff to a dish my mom used to make. Made with cottage cheese!!! One of my DH's favs!

• barilla plus thin spaghetti

• 4-6 garlic cloves

• 4 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

• 2 tbsp butter

• 1 package frozen chopped spinach (semi defrosted)

• 16 oz 2% Cottage Cheese

• fresh ground black pepper

• some grated locatelli romano cheese

Place oil and butter in a sauté pan and set to medium heat. Fill a big pot with water and set to bring to a boil then cook the pasta as directed. As these pots are heating up, finely chop the garlic cloves, add them to the oil and butter, and sauté for about 4 minutes. Then add the package of spinach and sprinkle with fresh ground black pepper and cook for another 2 minutes. Then stir in the cottage cheese. When the cottage cheese is all combined take about a half of cup of the starch water from the boiling pasta water and add to the spinach mixture and cook for about 2 minutes.

Drain the pasta and place it back in the pot. Add the spinach mixture to the pasta pot and stir together, cover for 5 minutes so the sauce seeps into the pasta. Serve topped with some grated locatelli romano cheese.
