Good things come to those who wait...
I've heard this for almost 7 years and today we brought our baby girl home from the hospital. She is healthy and beautiful! We needed to travel out of state to get her and won't be coming home for another week or so. I can't wait for my family to meet her!
It has been an amazing experience.
I was in the delivery room.
I cut the cord and was the first one to hold her. Our birth mother was/is truly an amazing person who I will forever be grateful to! We got to meet the birth father and there 2 other children one of which is a full sibling to our baby. We have picture to show her when she is old enough.
So happy and so surreal at the same time!!!

Thank you everyone!
She is precious. I'm not sure if I want to post pictures or say her name yet. The birth mom knows her name and I am a bit paranoid for some reason that she can find us somehow. She is ours, there is no way the birth mom can change her mind now... I just feel uneasy.....Do you think I should be??

Do what you are comfortable doing. I remember how we felt getting on the plane with DS. Even though I knew he was ours and there was no way anyone else could claim him I was holding my breath an looking over my shoulder. You will get more comfortable over time. Just enjoy her. Congratulations again.

Thanks so much. I know she is ours, it just doesn't seem real yet. We can't wait to go home. I think I will feel better then.

Congratulations!!!! How is your baby girl doing now?
I think when i was adopted my parents had tpo wait almost a year for something or other to be finalized and they were so anxious. Hope you're feeling good
