Biting and daycare
Have any of you had expereince with DC coming home with visible bite marks. Today I went to go feed my DS so I pulled up his sleeves so he didn't get sauce of the sleeves and I see a round mark that just looks like a bite mark.
I got no notice from daycare. I know things happen. I know kids bite. I am most upset about the fact that there wasn't any kind of incident report. I know it might be hard to catch these kinds of events since DS is one and cannot tell the teacher what is going on.
My daycare is usually on top of things so I am not sure how to proceed. His normal teachers are not there before DH drops his off and they are gone by the time I pick up. Tonight I called daycare to let them know what I saw so that they know that they need to speak with me tomorrow. I am going to pick up DS earlier than normal since I have to take him to a doc appt.
Can you guys give me any other advice? I can't believe my little one got bit.

Re: Biting and daycare
My DD was bit 5 times in a 4 month period. They wound up giving me a free week and they changed one of the teachers in the room. It never happened again.
There's a chance that they may not have known your DS was bit. I would definitely bring it to their attention so they can keep a closer watch.
I know how heart breaking it is to see bite marks.
