need sleep training help!

OMG, my boys used to get baths at 930pm and a bottle and sleep until 5am. Then about a month ago they started having issues sleeping, first it was gas, then just fussiness. I tried just formula at night, formula for gassiness, gripe water every night, binky, no binky, swaddle, no swaddle, crib soothers, cereal in the bottles (just tried this last night). I am at a loss.

I used to have just one wake at 3am and sometimes he would go back to sleep, but lately it begins at 2am and the 3 of them keep merry go rounding until they eat again at 5am. They don't seem hungry, just fussy, like they want to sleep, they just can't.

They are drinking 6-7 oz bottles 5 times a day and have cereal twice a day. Their last bottle is at 9 and the next one is at 5am. Sometimes they take a nap between their 5pm feeding their bath at 830, do you think that is the problem? I would think they need a feeding in the middle of the night, but it is a different baby every night. 2 of the 3 of them can get through the night, but they take turns. Any tips or tricks would be appreciated.

Do you have them all sleeping together? This is happening to me now with my girls. They are almost 15 weeks. I am contemplating separating them because I think one is waking the other when they move around or stir.

Re: need sleep training help!

How old are the boys? It sounds like they are getting more than enough food and that nap they take after 5 is vital for the,. Sleep brings on more sleep. Don't take the nap away. My girls sleep in the same room and have learned to ignore each other. They don't wake one another if they wake up at night. Not to mention that I had to let each of them cry it out at different times and the other slept right through it. Separating them wont make a difference. They need to learn to sleep through the noise. My girls slept through a 50 person new years eve party at my house this yeah. They didn't even flinch.
Depending on how old they are, they might be starting to experience separation anxiety.... If that's the case, u might need to let the, cry it out. I know it's hard but it might be the answer for u.
One of my girls, after we did cry it out to get to sleep, she would wake in the middle of the night and just cry. I had to do double cry it out with her. She would wake up cuz she knew mommy was going to go get her. At 3am I checked on her and let her cry. That last 2-3 days and now they don't wake up at all at night. They are now 8months old. But I started CIO at like 5- 51/2 mths.

i let them CIO at 5 1/2 months almost 6. I spoke to my doc and he gave me the go ahead. within a week they were sleeping through the night without waking till the morning.

ETA: they sleep through anything now at night. Noise, music, vacuming. @ weeks ago was their christening. I kept them up till since we were still partying it up at fox hollow. finally at 9 i put them down in the stroller. within 3-4 minutes they were out cold... through the music and all. I transferred them to the car seat and then their cribs and they slept right through it all until 7am

Re: need sleep training help!

They are 5 months old today (3 months adjusted). They sleep in separate cribs in the same room. I let them put themselves to sleep last night and they all did well. Granted my 2 fussy boys were half asleep when I put them in. And they ate at 9pm and made it until 430am. They ate at 5, 530 and 6 and all went back to bed until 9am. Night #1= so far, so good. we will see what tonight brings. I am trying to let them self sooth, worked good for naps yesterday. Thanks ladies.
