When checking out preschools...
did you ever just go there without first calling? I think I may miss some of the open houses and I wonder if going there without notice may give me a better impression of what it is really like. Any thoughts? If anyone can recommend a good program in the Smithtown/ Kings Park/ Commack area I am all ears. TIA!

Smîthtown library is hosting a preschool "open house" on Feb 1 at the brush barn on main St...they usually have reps from a bunch of schools to answer questions etc.

We just signed our ds up for the 4 yr old program @BEST...they are a bit pricey but I have heard great thing from neighbors. Also their hours work with my work schedule, as we are doing two full days. They have lots of options ( half/full days, 2or3days, etc). We called and they set up a visitation. Good luck!
