First loss and intro
Hi, my name is Grace and I had my first loss today...
I got my BFP after over two years of TTC on our first FET cycle. The beta testing went great and were progressing in the right direction. We had our first ultrasound last Thursday and saw the gestational sac which measured at 5w6d (a few days behind). Even though we saw nothing else, the doctors thought it might be because it was too early. I left not feeling all that great, but after doing some google searches, found that there were plenty of pregnancies that started in the same situation and turned out fine.
Fast forward to this morning when we had the second ultrasound - sac measured 7w2d but was empty. The doctor saw the remnants of a yolk sac, which was barely visible, but nothing else. She said we would've expected to see the embryo and even a heartbeat by now. We decided to have a D&C today instead of waiting another week - just couldn't deal with the torture of the what ifs over the holidays especially with the doctors being almost 100% sure that it wasn't viable. I'm surprisingly ok with it all - maybe because I felt in my gut that something was going to go wrong all along or it just hasn't hit me yet. I just want to get the chromosome testing results back and move forward onto the next cycle. I will try to enjoy Christmas and look toward 2012 as a new beginning.

Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. I'm surprisingly ok with this. I keep thinking to myself that it must not have meant to be although the timing of this right before Christmas really does suck.
I'm trying to keep my mind busy and on other things right now. It's a really good thing I'm off from work until next Tuesday.
