Did anyone have anterior placenta while pregnant, but still found out the sex?
Hoping to find out the gender of baby #2 next week, but I have anterior placenta and my doctor couldn't tell at all. She said at the level II anatomy scan they might be able to because their machines are stronger and clearer.
Did anyone get to find out the sex if you had anterior placenta???

I did. I don't remember it being an issue. I'd say there's a pretty good chance you'll find out. Good luck!

I have an anterior too. We didn't find out but the sono tech told us that she could tell us if we wanted to know.
You must be so excited to find out!!!!!

Yay! This is great, thanks ladies! My OB's sono makes my baby look SOOOO fuzzy and last night she was like now way can I tell. At my 12 week NT scan at the hospital, baby was fuzzy too but not that bad. I hope they can tell!
Jenn, YES I am so excited to find out! A little brother or a little sister????? Ahhhhhhhh. Please baby and sono machine, please cooperate!

Had anterior placenta with BOTH and found out the sex with BOTH at 12 weeks. With my boy... it was clear as day. With the girl... he kept saying "this is where you WOULD see it"... but no buying blue/pink until 20 weeks with both. My OB is really great at US.
HOWEVER, my OB can't get a decent 3D ultrasound at any appointment (he has the app on his US and tries!).

I had it.
At the gender sono the tech said she couldn't tell- but not due to the anterior placenta- due to the fact that DD had her legs closed the whole time!
(We already knew the sex though because I got my amnio results that same day)
At later sonos I'd ask the tech- is she still a girl? And she'd say oh yes now I can see it!
So I don't think the anterior placenta affected it at all

I did. I never heard from any of the techs or Drs to be a problem. If baby cooperates you should definitely be able to find out... How exciting!!!

Had an anterior placenta and no prob at level II telling DS was a boy. Good luck

Both of my twins were in anterior placentas. I found out the sexes at 20 weeks. Good luck!

Same here - we found out at 16 weeks 
The only thing it will affect at the movements, and that will drive you crazy sometimes!

I had an anterior placenta with DD, and it didn't stop us from finding out the sex. Then again, I didn't have any sonos between the NT scan and my Level II so nobody tried to look for the sex before the Level II.

agreed. tech said she could tell me at 16 weeks and it was confirmed again at 20 weeks.
