How much is too much to pay for stockings?
I know in my gut its probably an absurd amount of money to spend on stockings for me, DH and DS (its his first Christmas) but I really want them.
How much would you or have you paid for Christmas stockings?
Total for 2 large and 1 small = $118 (free shipping)
ETA: We will have these for a long time. The only personalization will be our names.

I don't get new ones every year, or a special one for their first Christmas. So since they were a one time expense I got the ones I wanted. I love our stockings.

Ditto. I went with Pottery Barn last year and they weren't cheap either but I figure they are going to last a long time- they are classic.
It's a one shot deal so I say go for it- consider it an investment.

I agree I am so happy I used Pottery Barn because with the new baby it is easy to match the rest of the family's stockings to hers and they will last forever!!

We have the same stockings, I LOVE them! We got the big ones for all of us but I wish I did the big for DH and I and the small for DS because they are REALLY big. My mom got them for us last Christmas and got my sister different ones for her family also from Pottery Barn but the ones with the characters on them. My mom said the same thing that a PP said, they are expensive but really how often do you replace stockings lol

You'll have these for years, right? I would get the ones you love - they are a one time expense for the most part.
And if you are considering having more children, definitely get stockings that you are likely to find again in the future.
That said, to give you a less expensive alternative, I bought 4 stockings last year from PersonalCreations.com for less than that and they were personalized. They look similar to these and they really look great in person. We're really happy with them:

I got the boys their stockings from Pottery Barn after Christmas last year and paid next to nothing for them (but accidentally got the jumbo size  ). Nice, quality stockings are worth it IMO bc they will last for years!

I have these too and I love them!
Another rave for these! We bought 3 last year and now that ds is coming we just ordered his last week and i love that I was able to get the same style!!
They hold up well, are thick, can fit a lot, and are a great quality. I got a ton of compliments on them!

I say that if you really love them and want them, and can afford it, go for it!!
We bought ours at the dollar store and wrote our names on them with glitter glue pens...I did mine and my DS', and my husband did his! It was a lot of fun to do it together and we will get new ones from the dollar store again in a couple of years, when my DS can write his own name!

I lucked out last year and got gorgeous ones at pb outlet for 3.99 each. I wouldn't pay more than 20 dollars per stocking. I also don't change ours every year.

Thanks for your responses and suggestions!
Im going to go ahead and order them. I love them and we will use them for a long time. I just hope they are still available when DC#2 comes along (whenever that may be  ).

I just got an email that they went on sale. I hope you are including the sale price.
and I would get them. I LOVE stockings and I think I may be buying similar ones...I just have to remember if I like those that we already have or not 
it's not too much if the price is something you can easily afford, no matter who you are.

I didnt get the email but I did just go check and it looks like (OF COURSE!) these arent included in the sale.
