Baptism help

So money is tight and I wanted to do a small dinner type thing after she is baptized.

I sat down to make the list and it's almost 100 people! I have a big family!

Now I don't know what to do. There are some people we know definitely wont come, and some people we could probably cut from the list, but it will still be 55-65 people.

Do you think it'd be cheaper to just do a Knights of Columbus type thing and rent it out? How does that work? Do we have to cater ourselves and then we'd need a dj right?

Any tips on cheap ways of doing this with so many people?

I'd love to cook myself and have a backyard thing, but she's going to be born any day now and I want to have her baptized soon and not wait until spring.

Ideas?? TIA

What about looking into restaurants...I think with knights of columbus you have to rent tables and chairs and cater all food.

I was planning on having it at a restaurant, but I thought 70+ people would be too many people for a restaurant? What do you think? I'd much rather a restaurant than KOC.

Blue Lagoon in West Babylon is $25pp and the food is really good. My baby shower was there and it was really nice.

Re: Baptism help

Check out Vincent's Clam Bar, they were inexpensive and we had over 70.
