Constant period like cramping?

I am 36 weeks 3 days into my first pregnancy with twins. All day I have had a constant period like cramp/ache. I was just wondering if anyone else had this and what it could be. It dosent come and go, and docent get worse, just a constant dull ache. When I was at the doctor on Wednesday I was not dilated or thinning, and baby wasn't engaged. Any thoughts on what this could be? It's uncomfortable. :(

I've been having this for weeks. My Dr. said since it's constant with no pattern that it's not active labor but your body preparing for labor. I was told to drink lots and lots of water.

I had that for several weeks before I had DD....I was also told drink lots and lots of water, and get plenty of rest. Hang in there!!!

Thanks ladies. I was feeling better today after 2 days of that cramping. I cannot wait for these babies to come! One more day until I hit 37 weeks so I told them they can come any time now. I'd really like to go into labor on my own, but if not I'm scheduled to go in on the 10th for induction or csection (depends if boys stay head down or not) I am so excited but real nervous. I'm kind of hoping this cramping and pressure I'm feeling means labor will come soon, but so far no sign of anything and cervix is still strong and not dilated. I am so beyond uncomfortable at this point!

37 weeks and have had this too for a few weeks..Dr. said normal!! Baby is low.
