If dc walked early?
Dd will be 8 months on Sunday and she is starting to stand and let go for short periods of time. I'm wondering if walking could be in the near future? How long after standing did dc walk?

My DD was probably about 8 months when standing. She walked a little after 10 months

DS started pulling himself up around then, and then cruising along furniture by 9mo. he was fully walking by 11mo.

DD started standing and cruising around 8.5 months and within about a week of the cruising she was taking steps!
She is now 9 months and FULL ON walking.

Ds was standing at 8 months, then at 9.5 months started taking a few little steps here and there. Then by 10 months he was a full on walker.

Yep Get READY!
I was so excited, thought it was so cool that she was walking so young.
Yeah- that lasted about a DAY!
Now it's HELLLLLL trying to keep after her. Once they start, they never want to stop- so it's constant walking, walking, walking and all you do is follow and watch... LOL

yup! I remember yelling at my mom whenever she would try to get my daughter to "walk" I was like LEAVE HER ALONE! just let her lay there and drool! lol I know that sounds mean

I know, I was praying she wouldn't walk to June but it doesn't seem like she is willing to wait. I just made dh buy furniture straps, I know my whole world is about to change.

DD started to stand and cruise all over at around 8-8.5months. She was full on walking just shy of 10 months and hasn't stopped since

DS was pulling up and letting go at 8.5 months but at 11 months, still not walking (he takes 2 steps and then drops to crawl).. he does cruise with the best of em though

He started pulling himself and standing at 7.5-8months and has been crusising since just before 10 months at a year old he still isnt walking. The most he has taken is 3 steps and that was 3 weeks ago.

Pulling to stand by 7months
Cruising by 8 months
Fully walking by 10.5 months (it actually took longer than I expected b/c he was so good at cruising for so long!)

So far DS is following the same time frame.....so he should be in a few weeks.

my DD started crawling about 6 months, pulled to stand 2 weeks after that and was full-on cruising 2 weeks after that - so at about 7 1/2 months, she was cruising constantly. She did not walk without holding onto something though until a little after a year - she just wasn't ready to let go - but when she did, she basically ran across the room - none of this a step here and there. Your dc may be like mine - you never know!
