Nautical 'Theme" Room ........Deocration Ideas?
I am moving Sean from the nursery to our room since we've finished out master suite -
I am going to paint a very light color and do a navy/kelly green striping around the room ........
kind of nautical/preppy new england look - His furniture is espresso -
But I'm having trouble finding decorations -
I'm admitedly picky and don't want anything cheesy and overly 'baby' ish looking ..........
Any ideas? I was thinking Sailboats, but I can't find anything !!

My friend did a Nautical theme for her DS. This was the bedding she chose...
She also hung oars on the wall, has a sailboat lamp and a bunch of other cute accessories to tie it all together. It looks adorable!!

TONS of stuff at marshalls and christmas tree shop....might not be out yet we got lots of stuff there!!!

check homegoods, the usually have a whole nautical section.
PBK or teen, has a cool oar that you can hang.

If you go on ebay and type in nautica william you might find stuff that you like. We did the Nautica William bedding for DS and I found alot of accessories on Ebay. Also check out Etsy. They have some cute stuff as well

DH is in love with the sail. We have a nautical theme too but more of a vintage sailboat so it's not too "themey"
It would be fairly easy to make that sail right?

this is probably one of the coolest rooms I've ever seen! and I am not really a nautical person.
i think if we ever create the third bedroom in our house, I'd do this room for him. it's just too cool!
ETA: honestly I think the most difficult part about the sail would be the letter. unless you know a serious embroiderer. (is that a word  ) but you could probably create the sail out of a nice piece of muslin from Joannes or even home depot and a thick curtain rod.
