Do you make plans on weeknights

to see friends, whether for dinner or drinks?

I feel like I miss out on meeting up with friends during the week but I don't get to see DD all day because of work and then I am shot being preggo so going out after work for me is not appealing, and I usually decline (which I hate doing). I always offer to meet up on a Sunday for brunch or a weekend night because it works better but I always feel guilty. I am sure if I wasn't preggo I would do it but by the end of the day I really just want to go home!

Never. But I never did before having a child.

And now that I do, I am either too tired after work or would just rather spend time with her anyway.

Yea, I'm home all week and weekends sometimes. I need to get out. If I can do it, I'll go.

I am with you. After a long day at work, all I want to do is go home and see DD!!!

After working all day, I just want to hang out with my baby and DH! We never do anything on the weeknights!

I'm so rushed and exhausted during the week (I'm also a divorced mom of 3), that I couldn't imagine having the time to go out during the week.. plus I feel guilty enough that my kids aren't with me during the day that I feel that that is their time. kwim?

Ok wasn't sure if I was just being a bore but most of my friends are SAHM, which isn't saying they aren't working all day, but they spend the time with their child that I miss all day long so for me to be gone all day, well I'm just not there yet! Now I know with 2 more babies added to the equation it will be out of the question for a while!! Oh well, life changes I guess!!

Never, unless I am off the next day, but even then it's once in a while.

Nope. I do nothing during the week.
Come to think of it, I don't make plans on the weekends either.

Nope. DH and I are homebodies to begin with but we especially have no interest in doing anything on a week night. When he gets home from work we like to just spend time together with our DD until she goes to bed at 8 and then we love just hanging out, relaxing, and watching movies.

I often make weeknight plans. However, I work in a school and get out at 2:30 every day, so it's not like I'm getting home late. My son goes to daycare at my school, so I hang out with him during my lunch break. My husband works most afternoons/evenings, so it's not like I'd be spending the time with him. And when I do go out during the week, I usually bring my son with me. I do have friends who don't like to make plans during the week though and I completely understand where they are coming from and don't have any issue with it at all- we just hang out on weekends!

No I have so much to do at night and I want to spend time with dh and dd as a family. All my single childless friends can't.understand why I can only see them on a weekend and that is hardly ever now as well.

Never, once in a while I have friends ask to do dinner or something but I don't go. My friends don't really understand why but I think they will after they have kids. After DS goes to bed and I clean up the mess from the day I just wanna relax with DH when he gets home from work.

Sometimes.
Most times I go out after DS is in bed or on a Wednesday b/c by the time he gets home from my Moms (DH picks up) he's sleeping. I'm part of a book club with some other Moms and we meet at 8. ( we meet once a month. It was actually tonight but I didn't get a chance to read the book! )

I try and make the time. Most of my friends are my college friends who don't live so close, but they all live close so get together like once a month so I feel terrible always saying no & I do miss everyone but like you said life changes.
I say I go every 3 months or so... I am a SAHM & I am preggo too so although I dont physically work I know feeling tired after all day. My DH actually pushes me to go out with my friends, tells me that its's needed and once I am there I am so happy I went.. Good convo & laughs...again, its not that often I go so to say yes 4 times a year to see my friends I think is worth it mentally.

oh hellz no! my friends get together thursday nights in bay ridge to watch greys anatomy and private practice and want me to come. i live in merrick. lol by the time greys is over im in bed! no way i can make it past 10 ever.

its 9:15 right now im in figuring out in my head if i can shower, make DS's food and my food for tomorrow and be in bed by 10. and yet im on the laptop on my couch.

sometimes but I don't miss anything since my friends are also lame like me and don't get out much during the week either, lol. we usually get together on the weekends.
