When did your DC transition to 1 nap?

DD usually takes 2 naps. About 2 hours in the AM and then about 45mins-1hour in the afternoon. For the past week or so, she hasn't been getting that afternoon nap- just can't fall asleep. This makes her miserable by 5-6 PM and she's in bed by 7ish, rather than 8. Dinner time is becoming difficult. I don't think she's ready to give up that nap..but its impossible to get her to sleep. She's almost 11 months. We tried moving her morning nap later..but she's so tired, she needs that nap.

So, at what age did they drop to one nap? What time of day was it and how long did it last?

Kiera naps for 1-1.5 hours usually from 11-12:30 and thats it. Started this around 10.5-11 months.

She does go to bed by 7 so maybe push J's bedtime back to 7 if you can?

not till 13 - 14 months.

just around one year.

we went from 2 naps (morning and afternoon) to 1 nap around noon.

ok, so it is pretty normal. DD has always thought she was older than she really is.
I guess we'll try to push that nap back a bit..right now she wakes up at 7 and naps from about 9:30-11/11:30. If we can push it back a little each day, and get her in bed at 7, I think it may make everyone a bit happier.

DS started taking one nap at around 11 months, he usually naps around 10:30 or 11 depending how early he wakes up for about an hr or 2 (if I'm lucky) and he's asleep by 7, 6:30 if he's extra cranky.

DS transitioned at 13 months when he started daycare... I am hoping DD will be the same way, I would love for them to both have one long afternoon nap

15 months.

DS is doing this as well..he was napping in the morning and then late afternoon. Now he is going go down until 1130-12 and sleeping for 2-3 hours and then no more naps after that. He is actually less cranky this way. I like it alot better.

at 1 year, the daycare started transitioning Ian to the toddler room. In that room all the kids must have 1 nap from 12-2. so they started changing his nap...before he was really ready for it, but he transitioned nicely. i like it cause by 12 i know hes done and wont fight me for a nap. i just hate that its smack in the middle of the day!

DS just transitioned himself in the past month (he is 17.5 months). There are days were even though he gets a good morning nap (around 11-12:30), he becomes a terror right around 3:30ish when he use to take his second nap. These are the nights were he is kicking & screaming at dinner..
