One of my close friends lives in Austin and he LOVES it. Austin is very nice and "green", it's more cosmopolitan. It's like "Williamsburg with a twang" as he calls it. The laws are pretty lax in Texas and go in favor of home/business owners.

Austin is very cool! Lots of nice shops and local coffee shops etc.. It's a BIG college town so it's "hip" and trendy. LOTS of bars on Sixth St.

San Antonio checking in.
Lived in NY for 10yrs just moved back home in 2009
ETA: took a transfer and got up and went in less than 60days total. Got the offer on May 15th and was working my San Antonio office by June 15th with my 9m old in tow.
Had to Get up n' Go!
