Show me your toy chest...

DS got tons of toys for Christmas. I hate clutter and there really isn't a ton of room in his closet nor does his closet provide easy access to his toys if I were to put them in there.

Show me your toy chest or storage for toys. Thanks!

little tikes

at first i was upset because i didnt realize that the top doesnt have a hinge - the tops just slides off. now that i think about it, its probably better for little fingers. no snapping down and breaking of little fingers Chat Icon

DS has this one for now...

Honestly... I'm not crazy about the big "dump box" filled with toys. Things with parts and peices (which is pretty much everything) get separated and burried.

We'll eventually have some built-ins where I'll do the basket thing. And this will become a stuffed animal bin or ball bin or big truck bin.

I'd advise for something with multiple smaller bins/baskets/shelves to give each toy "type" it's place. Chat Icon Not there yet myself but hope to be. Chat Icon

Re: Show me your toy chest...

we just bought my son the one behind him for christmas. I love it bc it is a nice cherry wood so it blends in nicely with the room, It also holds a ton of stuff

We also bought him a nice cherry wood table to match. Since I don't have a playroom and most of his toys are in my living room I still like things to look nice and not shout TOYS!

Just go the extra large version (12 bins total) @ BRU on sale for like $48 I think!

LOVE IT! It's great for the samller things that should not be a large toy chest where the pieces get lost & separated.

We have a smaller version of this in his room, with the soft bins inside. I think it is great storage and we also keep his books in some of the open squares.
