Re: Laser Hair Removal

I got my underarms and brazilian done at Arpi's Spa in Queens. DH got his chest and belly lasered there as well. We both used Arpi, but Faye is also very good. They're very thorough and make you feel really comfortable. Here's the info:

Arpis Spa LLC

18710 Union Tpke
NY 11366-1705 - (718) 454-2338

They have average pricing, but sometimes they have sales, so call and see if you can get a combined deal! Chat Icon

Were the brazillian & underarm lasering painful? Do you remember what the cost was & how may sessions there were? The website only lists pricing for electrolosis. tia

I had much of my face done. When I inquired about my eyebrow the nurse told me they wouldn't do it so close to the eye....

My OB does laser hair removal and she told me that she would not do it so close to the optic nerve. I had underarm and bikini done. She is very pricey but she uses the machine that has a coolant in it so that the patient does not feel the burn as much. I wanted to to go an MD because I have very sensitive skin. She recommends yearly maintenance and I may go somewhere less expensive for that but I am not sure.

The first session wasn't painful and I thought to myself, "wow, I can do this!"

So i go for my second session and it was painful!! Nothing horrific, but imagine a rubber band snapping on you repeatedly. That's the best way I can describe it. The underarm and top of the Brazilian weren't that bad, but as you get further into the Brazilian, it's more sensitive, so it hurts a bit more. SO WORTH IT THOUGH!
I paid $750 for underarm and Brazilian which includes 6 sessions and 1 year of followup. I got a package deal though, I don't know if she'll still offer that, but you can try! DH paid $1350 for chest and belly (and she went pretty low on the belly!).

Re: Laser Hair Removal

thanks Becca. I can imagine how worth it it is never ot have to worry about it again. You never ever have to shave or wax, right?

Well, mostly yes. I do have a few stray hairs here and there. I shave my underarms maybe once a month or every 3 weeks just to get the little hairs. I NEVER have to shave my bikini lines or top of my Brazilian, but I do have to shave the bottom (more sensitive area) every so often, once every 2 months basically, but it's so little that I don't even need to. I have some followup appointments left, so that should take care of most of the strays Chat Icon
