xpost-ques about SA
If we dont get a BFP this month, I am making DH get a SA before I go to a specialist for a million tests.
Can anyone tell me how this works?
-can he get a script from his primary?
-does he do his "business" at home & bring it to the lab?
-who reads the results?

your RE gives your DH a script for SA. Not sure about primary dr, but I know urologist can give him a script for it as well. HE does his business at a facility where the test is performed, also there is an option to bring in sperm within an hour of ejaculation. I do not know how it works in LI, but your DH should be able to do this test at your RE office or he will be referred to a hospital. GL!

At the time I wasn't seeing an RE and my OB/Gyn gave DH his script. He produced at home and then went to a lab and my dr. called with the results in a little under a week.
ETA - most labs will let you produce the sample at home but you need to get it there within an hour.

oh Thats good to know- I thought all the labs did it. We have a Quest down the block from us, hopefully they will do it.
