Those with PCOS...

Did you get pregnant on your own?? If so, did you know when you ovulated or did you randomly test and get a BFP??

Let's say you have VERY long cycles, randomly tested and received a BFP. When you went to the OB, how far along were you?

I received a BFP and have no clue how far long I am. I feel so good. No cramping, bloat, fatigue...NOTHING. Very different from when i got pregnant with DC.

My BFP came up instantly. Before the control line even came up and it was DARK.

I dont have PCOS but I do have longer cycles. We were trying but honestly my BFP came as a complete surprise. Since I couldnt track my cycle, we just kept BD and bam BFP. The doctor had me come in for bloodwork to confirm the pregnancy, and then went in again for more blood to see approx how far along I was.

I have my first OB appt on Tues so we will know for sure, but by my numbers I am around 8-9 weeks along.

Congrats on your BFP! Chat Icon

Yes I got a BFP on my own. I went by my CM to see when I Ovulated
I actually had AF the month prior so I knew how far along i was. When you go for a sonogram, they will be able to tell how far you are. How long ago was your last AF? I would explain to the DR and they will tell you want to do.
Good Luck to you and congrats Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Thank you.

My last AF is pushing almost 3 months ago. I really don't think I can be more than 5-6 weeks. I tested once about 2 weeks ago and BFN. But who knows. I have an appt on Tues afternoon!

Re: Those with PCOS...

I got PG on my own with no medical help. My cycles were very irregular, but had been about 34 days the first two this year.

The third cycle, I got a bfn on cd37 so I went in for a blood test on cd42 which was also negative.

We didn't do anything different but I tested again on cd62 and got my bfp on the digital immediately.

I went to my gp for a blood test and she estimated me at 6-8 weeks based solely on my bt #s. The OB wouldn't see me until 2 weeks later. He used measurements of the baby to give me an estimated due date and said I was exactly 8 weeks that day. Since then at my NT ultrasound and Level 2, the baby is measuring exactly on time.

Good luck to you and congratulations!!!

Re: Those with PCOS...

I have PCOS, got pregnant on my own but was taking Metformin to help try to regulate me. They needed to do a growth sono to determine how far along I was/what my due date was since my periods were so inconsistent even with the metformin.
