I know some stage 2 0r 3 baby foods have strawberries in it....I thought it was a year too...

Our ped said to wait until 2 years, although other friends and family members have given sooner. My sister had a strawberry allergy, so we're going to wait just in case..

Hey can have cooked strawberries I was told..
Same for us, but DS has other food allergies (peanut, treenut, egg). If your child is prone to eczema you may want to wait.

I didn't wait until a year - DD had her first taste of strawberries between 7 and 8 months.

I read that the cooked versions have less of the "allergens" in them....not the same as raw. I am not sure who told me this though! Maybe I read it on www.wholesomebabyfood.com. Yes, I think I did.

wow...DS has been having them since he was 4 months old.....in the mesh food holder thing. Once he started getting his front teeth in I started giving it to him whole and he would chew on them (nice and cold on his gums).

I started strawberries around that age maybe a little younger. I dont follow the strawberry or peanut butter rules.
