How do you make your popcorn?

Watched something on Orville Redenbacher (sp) and prompted this.

I make stove top.

I put a little peanut oil in a pot sprinkle in ultra fine salt and add some popcorn kernels. Then I seal the top with aluminum foil and turn on the heat and move the pot around slowly - once it starts to sizzle and spit I move it a little faster. It starts popping and I keep moving until the popping slows and I've got a pot full of popped corn!

I just throw the thing in the microwave and put on the popcorn setting!

I dont know what happened when I was preggo with DS but I became a popcornaholic...no pickles and ice cream for me...I wanted...CRAVED....popcorn...so I chose other because there was no "all of the above."

Now...if the poll asked which way do I PREFER to make my popcorn, I would have to say stovetop with very hard to find Orville Redenbacher butter popcorn oil (holy artery clogging calories involved). I coat the bottom of the pan and put in a 1/2 cup of popcorn. Buttery movie theater popcorn goodness in every bite. If there is no artificial butter "flavored" popping oil (like now since I havent been to kmart in a while-and its the only place up here that I have been able to find it) then I will take the healthy route and do the air pop and then melt a half a stick of butter and drizzle (evenly) over alternating with lots of salt....sorry...you asked

I have a popper that you put a little oil in and it rotates.

I forgot which one I have but it's better than any microwave popcorn. In fact I can't eat microwave popcorn anymore.

air popped, but its so hard to get the spices and such to stick on.

I bought this while i was pregnant and loved it until i realized that unless I washed my artery clogging popcorn oil out of it immediately, then it left a sticky film on it and since it was an electric appliance I couldnt submerge it either. Finally it got so gross I had to throw it out...but I completely agree that it was fabulous!

We actually have a designated pot we use for only popcorn. We put some oil in it with kosher salt let it heat up and place the kernels in, cover and shake until popping stops. I can't go back to microwave popcorn anymore.

it has a non stick surface and I clean it with a soapy cloth. Use Canola..good for you oil.

But Canola just doesnt have that yummy fake buttery flavor

But you'd think with the sticky film it left on the popper, I would think about what it was doing to my insides. . .

so in order to get the salt to stick you need to add it to the oil before cooking.....

I put about a tablespoon of olive oil in a small pot and then pour in the popcorn. Cover the pot and cook it on med-high until you hear the popcorn stop popping. I put in a bowl and sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top. DD loves it too!!

I love popcorn , its my fav snack . I pop mine in this...
