What to expect??
My husband and I have started the adoption process. We have our first appt. with our social worker next week. What kind of questions can be expect to be asked??

she'll ask you both about your backgrounds, family of origin, religion, beliefs, parenting styles, why you want to adopt. She will also ask about your medical history and financial status, lots of personal questions, but dont sweat it!

I did not have IF issues but I know couples that did got a lot of questions around their treatments, what doctors said and how they felt about moving on from IF treatments to adoption.
We were asked why we wanted to adopt, how we discussed it with each other, questions about our marriage, our daughter, how our families and friends felt about the adoption etc...

In addition to the above, if you are adopting internationally they may ask why you made the country choice you did. At some point they will want to tour your home. Try to relax and be yourself. The sw wants to the interview to be successful as much as you do.
