Hardwood Floor Stain Colors
Hi everyone,
We are refinishing our oak floors and need to pick a stain. We are so torn between the two Minwax / Duraseal colors, Early American and Nutmeg. The pic below is a sample the floor guy put down for us (early american is in the middle and on the right is nutmeg - the one on the far left looks like garbage)
It's just so tough to decide plus the pic also stinks lol. We plan to put 3 coats of high gloss on this so i'm not sure how it will end up.
Anyone use these colors already? Any help is appreciated!

We used minwax special walnut and love the color

we used special walnut too and love it. 2 satin coats and one high gloss. i like early american better only because it looks darker in the picture and personally i'm a fan of medium to dark wood floors.

We were considering Early American when we did our floors, and if my memory serves me correctly I think it had a little bit of red in it  I could be thinking of another color. If thats the color im thinking of, I would go with the nutmeg.
We chose jocabean bc the former owner had a pet and there were a few stains we had to cover, so we went really really dark and I love them!
