So far I haven't gotten a bill, I am assuming its covered-but they are so slow with all the billing and claims so I guess I can't be sure. I have ghi and I gave birth 5 months ago.

I have GHI and the Dr was processed as out of network so they only covered a little more than 50%.
I'm currently working on appealing the decision and the nice ladies here have given me some nice wording for my appeal.

In the end they did, Empire BCBS. Initially though, they tried to deny it since the doctor who performed it isn't in their network (but they confirmed they covered the epidural if it was done in a hospital that was in network, which it was). So after some back and forth, they did pay it.
My guess is that they understood this all along and wanted to see if I would pay it myself anyway.

Same. I have UHC 90/50 PPO plan so i owed like $90 after the insurance paid out for the EPI.
