Giftcards...diapers?

So, yesterday was my shower and we got a TON of Gcs to BBB, BRU & Target & even Visa.

We are going to save most to use as needed, but I definitely need diapers as we didn't get ANY! Well, my friend and I made a diaper cake, so we have the diapers from there..about 75 size 1 pampers swaddlers.

What size and how many should I get? Newborn? 1 box? 2? I also need wipes and some diaper creams.

I don't want to get too many, as we belong to Costco, and I plan on buying there in the future..

get some for now but plan to go to the store a bunch of times in the first few weeks. i wouldn't buy too many b/c you won't know what works best for your LO. my DD stayed in newborn size for a while but other people's didn't.

I agree, don't go crazy. And save receipts. My lil guy was never in NB size, went straight to size 1. You should be able to take some home from the hospital as well to get you started. Also, some babies are sensitive or don't work well with a specific brand (ie.leaking, irritation, etc)so I think its better to hold off and see.

Re: Giftcards...diapers?

I would get one box of newborns. And clear out the baby's bassinet at the hospital every night!! Babies go through like 10 diapers a day at the beginning. DS was in newborns for like a week, DD is still in them and she's a month old. But I would get at least one box and buy from there

I think you should get size 2-you will probably get NB diapers at the hospital.

You certainly can lolz..you should see my family!!

Especially if you have the baby in the room with you for most of the time, what are they gonna say? Your changing their diaper too often? They don't know how often they are going..or how many times YOU feel the need to change it Chat Icon

Now what I really wish we could steal in abundance would be those pre-filled bottles! You don't have to heat them up or anything, just put on the nipple, feed and throw away! Those are great! I wish you could buy them!
