Picking up lunch for co-workers
If you offer to get lunch for co-workers and they give you money, do you pay for everything in one transaction and just pocket what they gave you?
Or pay everything separately?
I usually just do one transaction and pocket whatever they gave me. If I owe them a dollar or two I give it to them from whatever change I have.

at work, we've done all of the options you mentioned. depends on who is picking up and who has cash.
sometimes, we even treat each other for lunch. there are only three of us in my dept and we get along really well

I used to do it as one and give them their change exactly, even if it meant me getting odd change amounts. lol

me too...I usually do it separate and give them back their change. If I know they gave me exact, like for a soda or a drink, I will do it in one transaction.

If it's just one other person, I do it separately. But if there's several people in on the order I do it in one transaction.

If it's a bunch of people then I just do it together. Usually though it's just one other person. She gives me cash and I never have any cash on me so I pay for hers separately and then put mine on my debit card.
