I don't want to be a nosey neighbor, but......***Update**
UPDATE********4/21/10
I found out she was ill from diabetes ,and then in January she felt a lump in her throat ,and couldn't swallow..it turned out to be cancer and she passed away yesterday . I feel so sorry for her family ! Her family was there alllll the time for her when she wasn't in the hospital ! So sad to see such a vibrant woman one day ,and gone a short time later ! Cancer is so evil :(
The woman that lives across the street from me is a very sweet older woman. I haven't seen her in over a week,and now for about a week I have been see'ing random people in and out of her house, but not her  She usually drives everyday and goes somewhere ,but nope not in awhile ! I am praying she is on vacation because she really wasn't old  
Anyway ... do you think I am nosey for asking one of the people constantly in and out or just leave it alone?

No, you are being a concerned neighbor, looking our for someone older.
That makes you a good person.
I'd probably knock on the door and ask for the lady, rather than asking one of the strangers.

It is just enough time for you to know what is typical for the lady and what is not.
If I were old & alone, I think I would like if I knew someone was looking out for me.

Thank you , you are right . I am home all day ,so I do know alot of the neighbors patterns ! I really hope everything is ok

If you are not sure that things are not "kosher" and you think, MAYBE< nefarious stuff is going on...
I would say make a NON emergy call to your local police department. Tell them Exactly what you said. You dont think anything is wrong, but it just doent feel right, and can they check on the neighbor.
All im saying is if you *THINK* there might be somethingwrong (robbers, bad people taking advantage) dont knock on the door yourself.
But DEFINTLY do something.

i would ask someone you see over there regularly. my grandmother died over the summer and a few neighbors asked about her to my mom who then had to inform them that she passed away. they felt awful for asking but my mom was not upset or resentful that they did. it made her (and me) feel a little happy to know she had neighbors who did look out for her.

This is what I am thinking . I have seen the vehicles there before with her there . Things don't look suspicious at all , I am just worried something happened to her .

so sorry to hear that
when we first moved to our house a neighbor from a few houses away stopped by to introduce herself to me and told me that she and her mother live inthe house etc and that when I was a little more settled she would invite me over for tea etc
well I never saw her after that so I figured she just said shed invite me to be nice.....turns out she died right after that
I didnt wanna be a nosy neighbor and go over and say anything either
