Ladies who used OPK's and successfully became PG

What brands do you recommend? I'm not to concerned with price but I would like some suggestions on the brands and which were the easiest to use.

Not a brand recommendation, but I would recommend the digitals. Chat Icon is easy to read whereas with the other kind you have to interpret the lines and I wasn't very good at that.

I used the Clear Blue Easy OPKs - the regular ones with the lines and they were not difficult to read at all. I THOUGHT they were until the day I got the positive - it was super clear.

With the digitals isn't that like one test per pack? If so, when do you start using them? Some girls on the TTC board say they test everyday starting with the first day after AF ends. If that is the case then that is going to be very expensive because those digitals are like $15 each.

I didn't use the digitals, but I would be surprised if it was $15 just for one test. I bought my OPK pack from Costco.com and I paid something like $15 for a multipack with 10 tests, but not digitals.

ETA: this is the pack I bought on Costco.com (I got them when they had $5 off).

Digitals are 7 tests in a pack but they are like $25-$30 I believe. But I agree with the girl above, the smiley is much easier to read than the lines.

Ditto and I got pregnant the first month.
I really don't think the brand matters.

The only thing is- I know some people have issues reading the non digital ones with the 2 lines- but I had no problem at all

Thanks ladies!

So if I get the Clear Blue Easy digitals when do I start testing? The first day after AF leaves?

That's going to depend on your average cycle length.
Mine are LONG...so I didn't bother wasting them with testing too soon after AF- because I KNEW I didn't ovulate that early.
The instructions will tell you when to start testing based on your average cycle length...

Re: Ladies who used OPK's and successfully became PG

Thank you all very much!!

This is our 2nd month TTC and AF is supposed to come this week. If she doesn't arrive then she is either late or I'm PG. But I really don't think I am PG this month. So if I am not I wanted to start using the OPK's but I just wanted to make sure I understood how they worked before I did anything.

Me too. Their OPKs and pg tests are cheap and they worked. I didn't find the lines hard to read at all. If the test line is the same as or darker than the control=a positive.

I agree. So easy to use. I had a hard time interpreting the lines on the regular ones.
