POLL: How long did/will you breastfeed?

I'm not saying breastfeed exclusively, but how long did you keep it up? Thanks!

1 year for my DS (who is 2.5 yrs old now) and is still currently my plan for my 10 mo old!

I EBF'd DD#1 til about 16 months and plan to go about the same time frame with DD#2

11 months with DD, hopefully #2 will take to it as well as DD did!

DD IS currently 10 months.
i am def making it to the 1 year mark.
and will prob go as far as 1.5 years.

DD is 3 months and EBF. My goal is 1 year.

I BFed Kayleigh for 26 months & plan to go 2 years this time as well.

DS is 2 months now and EBF. At 6 months I will re evaluate and hopefully make it a year.

I BF DS for 1 year and 2 weeks. I would have gone longer except that I had to have emergency surgery so I stopped. I am BFing DD who is 6 weeks and hope to last a year for her too.

I pumped for 1 month and divided it up between the kids.....the one that didnt get the breast milk got formula that day.....

I hope to be able to continue pumping/BFing (unfortunately with some formula supplementing) for a full year ... Ann is 19 weeks.

i Bfed DS for 5 months and I want to BF DD for 6 months. I am not really interested in BFing while they are teething and for me, I think that's a good age to transition because they are starting on solid foods at that time.

Im bf part time but plan to keep on hopefully til his first birthday. If DS still wants to bf then I may continue after the year until he weans himself.

DS is 10.5 months I still BF him. I'll stop when he is ready, unless I feel the need to give it up first.

My original goal was to BF through my maternity leave. I am just about there and DD has an allergy so I am now going to BF until probably a year. Now that I have made it this far, I am more prepared to continue. I am glad I started with a short term goal.

DS is 13 months and I am still BFing. My plan is to nurse morning and night (he gets organic whole milk during the day) and to let him self wean for the morning/evening feedings.

i said a year though it was actually 10 1/2 months... i was preg and couldnt handle the exhaustion any more


with #2 i plan on going the full year

I've been EBFing DS for 11 months. My supply is horrible and I have almost nothing left in my freezer. I'm trying to do whatever I can to make it until a year. I'd like to continue nursing in the morning and maybe at night beyond 12 months. I can't wait to give up the pump.

DS is currently 3 months and EBF. I'm not sure how long I'll go for. I think maybe 6 months, but when I think about having to sterilize bottles then I think maybe a year. But oh, how I'd love to put on a normal bra and a sweater dress...

DS is EBF and he is 5 1/2 months. My goal is to make 1 year

I let them guide me. Robbie was over a year.. I want to say somewhere between 16 and 18 months. I believe Noah self weaned at just about a year or so.

Ds self weaned at 14 months (I was 10 weeks pregnant with dd). I cried when he weaned. I am hoping to make it longer with dd but we will see. I would love to make it to 2 years but they have an awful lot of teeth by then

My original goal was 6 months... now I am at 10.5
I plan on doing it until they are one, but I am thinking I might keep one or two feedings a day - I am afraid to give it up completely - sometimes it is the only thing that calms them down and gets them back to sleep!!
