I am DONE
with DH. I just had to get that out there! And we're flying to NY tomorrow morning for my shower - I know I have to get in a better mindset becase I am certainly not letting him (or my-inlaws) affect my good time but argghhhhhh He is so unsympathetic, empathetic, EVERYTHING to this pregnancy, yet he loves to talk about how no way does he want only one kid!!!!

Tell DH that you make the final decision on whether or not to grow a baby again. It's hard work and your sacrifices and discomforts begin immediately. IMO, no one, not even a husband can tell you that you must do this again. That's just rude and utilitarian. But...I suspect that it's because he's psyched to have a large family with you, and that's kind of cute too. But a little sensitivity goes a looooong way.

Let me tell you something- these men have NOT a clue.
I told my DH the other day that pregnancy is not just 9 months of walking around with a cute little belly then BAM, out pops a baby.
I swear they think it's SO easy to go through.
All they have to do is have sex - WE have to do the rest.
And if men had to have the babies, nobody would get born and the population would die out... because there is no way a man would go through ANY of it.
I feel you pain and I'm only a few weeks along- I can't imagine how much worse it will get...!

Is your DH coming with you for your shower? You should enlist the help of the female members of your family and his to give him a nice long talking-to about treating the mother of his child well and the pains of pregnancy and child birth. I'm sure his mother/grandmother/aunts/sisters will correct his misinformation.
