We keep names a secret. We do not want to hear other people's (negative) opinions on what we've chosen. So, the day the baby is born is the day that people fall in love with the baby and his/her name.

we haven't picked it yet, but it will be a suprise like last time b/c i don't want any negative opinions and everyone already knows the sex so i like to have this surprise.

since we are on Team Green.. we have to pick out 4 names.. i probably will end up telling family and friends.. i just say.. if they dont like it.. then OH WELL!!

we didnt pick any names yet because we havent found out whether it was a girl or boy; so i want to wait for that. but we will probably tell people. i just hate that already, when i say a name i like, my parents or someone will say they dont like it., so that affects my decision to use it then.. so we'll see..

We've been telling everyone though now I'm not sure that we should've becasue I feel like we tied ourselves to those names. We love the names just what if we meet the LO and the name dosn't feel right for them.

I was the same as all of you, not telling them to avoid all the negative comments. However DH & his big mouth shared our names at dinner this past weekend. You could tell me mom didn't really like them, and MIL. They didn't say it but we go the "Oh, that's nice". DH I could kick him.

I dont see the big deal. If people don't like the names I picked they can kiss my you know what. Its my kid and so DH and I are the only ones who have to like the name. So if Its a girl I want it to be Isabella Sophia, If it's a boy I want it to be Landon Donovan, but DH has vetoed that boy name!! lol so I may have to pick another boy name. lol

Probably not telling the names, but we're still very early.

I'm afraid if we get negative opinions on the names, it will affect our feelings on it and we'll want to change them.

We are keeping our name a surprise to anyone in real life - I've already mentioned it on here! We are doing it because we don't want anyone's opinions and also we want to wait to see to make sure he "looks" like the name we picked.

We haven't picked yet, but we decided not to share unti we decide - this way no one influences our decision during the thoght process.

We shared. I actually like hearing opinions--good and bad. DD has to live with the name, so I want it to be something that people generally like. I need a reality check to make sure I'm not picking something that will torture her in the long run.

We are not telling our family what we're having since it was a suprise we found out, and we want that moment after delivery. That being said we have told people our girl and boy names.

We thought we had it and now changed. We keep telling our parents and siblings when we think of a new one. Kinda wish we hadn't opened our mouths but since we keep changing our minds no one is taking us seriously anymore anyway, lol

I told some people the name right away and got some not so great remarks..now everyone knows the name we choose and i can give two sh*** who likes it and who doesnt it is my daughter not theirs

Not really telling people. DH figures everyone knows the sex so lets have one surprise for when he's born.

I tell pretty much everyone. I only really cared about immediate families thoughts on it though. Also, I like having everyone refer to the baby by her name now and not just "the baby".

I'm really on the fence with this one. On one hand, I would love to keep it a secret since everyone will know the sex and I don't want to hear the negative comments. But on the other, I have a lot of baby-making friends and would hate if we had a name picked out in our heads and then one of my friends told me thats what they were naming theirs. Its almost like calling dibbs...lol.

We kept it to ourselves except for my cousin whos parents DD is named after.

We didn't tell because we wanted something to be a surprise.
