STTN and skipping feedings?

DD is 2 1/2 months and we just started putting her down to bed in her crib this week. She's doing great, and even started STTN. She'll go down between 8:30 and 9 and usually sleep until about 4 (the other night she lasted until 5:45).

I did notice though, that in addition to that early morning feeding that she skips, she is skipping other feedings during the day as well, but she is not taking any more than her normal 4 ounces. Last night she skipped her 5:30 bottle and I tried giving her 5 ounces at her 8:30 bottle but she only took 4. At her 4 AM feeding, I tried giving her 5 ounces but again, she only took 4 and then she refused her 7:30 bottle. Has this happened to anyone? Thanks for any info!

Re: STTN and skipping feedings?

I would let her be, she will eat if she's hungry.

My DD also started STTN around 2.5 months and dropped her middle of the night feeding. She went from 6 bottles to 5 bottles a day. There are some days she doesn't finish an entire bottle either. I don't force it. I may try to revisit the bottle 20 minutes later sometimes she'll finish it, sometimes not.

Re: STTN and skipping feedings?

My DD did the same thing. She's been STTN since 7 weeks and goes about 7-8 hours and misses out on a feeding. And her feedings during the day are starting to become further apart and sometimes she doesn't even want to finnish the 4 oz bottle we give her.
I talked to the ped and when she's hungry she'll let me know, that's what the ped said. So i wouldnt be too concerned.
