Re: for those who had ultrasounds monthly or more

Yes...and I've had two sonograms per month since 18 weeks. 98% of the sonogram is 2D, they usually just do a quick 3D at the end if at all.......

Re: for those who had ultrasounds monthly or more

I was deemed high-risk beginning at 32 weeks so I had ultrasounds bi-weekly. My doctor's policy is 3 ultrasounds total unless more are required...one to date pregnancy, one for ultrascreen(if opted) and one for at 20 weeks (anatomy scan).

Re: for those who had ultrasounds monthly or more

When I was high risk with my DD, i had them weekly and bi-weekly at the end.

This pregnancy i'm not considered high risk but still have GD and my dr doesn't really want to do sono's. She scheduled one for me around 31 weeks since my LO did not cooperate so we could find out the sex. But other than that, no more unless they believe theres a problem.

Re: for those who had ultrasounds monthly or more

I have them at every appt, but I'm not high risk. Just standard practice with my OB. He never used a doppler- just always checked Chat Icon on the sono machine for a couple minutes.

Re: for those who had ultrasounds monthly or more

My last pregnancy itself was pretty standard, but they did them monthly due to Liams heart defect.

Re: for those who had ultrasounds monthly or more

1st PG. Yes, I had a complete previa which placed me as high-risk. I had a sono every visit from 18 weeks on.

2nd PG - I was not high-risk, but DS was measuring 3+ weeks ahead from the Level II, so I got a growth sono monthly until 32 weeks, then every other week. They told me that if he continued to measure that far ahead AND if the growth sono showed him at 10+ lbs they would have pushed up my c-section as a matter of safety to help prevent a possible rupture.

PS DS#2 was under 8 lbs....so much for the science of sonosChat Icon

Re: for those who had ultrasounds monthly or more

i have one almost every appointment, but its just a quick look, no measuring or anythign like that but it is still early.

I am high risk- septate uterus.

I am seen every 2 weeks since 2nd trimester, sometimes and i get sono every other appt at least.

Re: for those who had ultrasounds monthly or more

Im not high risk but i have been having the level II 3D ultrasounds every 4 weeks to monitor Chat Icon kidney's because she is retaining urine. They called it "mild bilateral hydronephorsis".
