Another maxi dress question...

I'm 5'2". Is that too short to wear a maxi dress? Are they only for tall people?

Re: Another maxi dress question...

I'm right about (or less) than 5'2" and I wear them all the time. I never have to have them shortened either...

so the answer is YES, you can wear them!

Re: Another maxi dress question...

I would think so long as it's in a petite size if would be fine. Otherwise, you might get lost in it...or worse, trip over it!!

So do you get petite? Or the regular size is ok?

I'm a plus size...but it's regular in terms of length.

I am 5'3 and I can't wear the regular sizes - they are way too long on me.

Re: Another maxi dress question...

i'm about your height and two weeks ago i would have said 'no' for us shorties to wear them. but i bought a maxi dress at loehmann's a couple of weeks ago and i don't get lost in it - i was totally shocked. i think that it depends on the material and print but i think that if you find the right one, you can pull it off well.

eta try them on and walk around - many of the regular sized ones will be too long so look for petites where you can

Re: Another maxi dress question...

I'm 5'2. Think of it this way- If you can pull off wearing a long gown at a wedding (Which you can).. You can get away with wearing a Maxi dress.

I have never tried one on, but if I did, being the shorty that I am, I'd steer clear of the bold bright prints & go for something lower key in terms of print. As for colors- the brighter the better. Especially in the summer.
