how many hours a day do your dh and dc spend together?

just wondering.

my dh's schedule is different every day. i always feel so bad when he goes to work early and comes home late b/c josh asks where he went.

Rob spends more time with them than I do. He is a SAHD since last June so he's home with them whenever they are home.

When he works he is generally home by 4:30. I don't get home until 6:30 or 7.. sometimes later.

we both spend about the same amount of time with him. when he gets up in the morning we all snuggle for a while and then get him and ourselves ready.

we pick him up from daycare in the afternoon and have a few hours with him before bedtime.

then dh and i actually get a couple hours to ourselves

and then we go to bed

DH is a teacher, and he also coaches 2 HS sports. So during the schoolyear when he's not coaching (Nov-February), he picks up DD at around 3pm and is with her alone until I get home...she goes to bed by 7:30pm. During the summer, he's home with her all day if he's not running a soccer camp or taking a class.

During his 2 coaching seasons, he sees her only around an hour a day. He just started his season the other day, and he's so depressed that he barely sees her now...he's really upset about it He coaches every Saturday too, from now until June.

We both spend equal time with DD which is wonderful! I work at night so I get the whole day with her. DH works during the day and spends all night with her. On the weekends and my 2 days off we all spend the day together,

It works really well for us and DH has become an incredible daddy b/c of it :)

2-10 min. It's something that makes me very sad for DS. However, they are together 8:30am-5:30pm every Monday in lieu of daycare, so it is awesome that they have one entire day together.

Same as me, we both work full time.

About 1 hour in morning (includes drive to daycare) and then 2 hours in evening if we can get home early enough.

Not much. He often gets more time with her than I do because I work late often and don't get to see her on those nights...I guess he's with her from 6:30-7:30 in the am and pm... so 2 hours a day.

I guess I get about the same on an average day, give or take a half hour. It's not enough.

Weekdays, about half an hour. Maybe a little longer if he gets home early, but never more than 45 minutes. Weekends he does spend a lot more time with DS though and thankfully, he doesn't travel for work.

Makes me sad--I wish they had more time together, but what do you do? DH doesn't even work so late, but his commute adds to the day.

During the week, I'm with them from when I get home at 5:30 until we put them to bed by 8:30. On the weekends, I'm with them quite a bit. I take DS to his karate class, and assist in the class with the instructor. Unless I have a dangerous project around the home (power tools), DC are with me.

dh works for the city and his schedule is nuts on those days and then he works with a construction company on the side....its hard.....dh sees dd maybe 9hrs one day and then another day he might not see her for 24hrs

DS is with DH all day long. DH works nights and is home with Christopher during the day. Once I get home at 5:30 I take over and I am on 24 hour duty on the weekend

Dh spends about 1.5-2 hours with DS every night. He spends all weekends with him. I work on weekends.

He gets her much longer than I do

We all go to my train together in the mornings.. but he drops her off at daycare after spending some Daddy/AJ time in the back seat playing with toys, sleeping or talking.

He picks her up and takes her home in the afternoons.. more Daddy/AJ time, playing, feeding, sleeping.

They both come to pick me up and that can be from 630-830

Even then.. she lights up when Daddy walks in the room.

S'ok.. i know we'll have girl time later. For now I live for my weekends :D

In the morning he usually spends about an hour with them. In the evening about 2 hours. He tutors at night , but he schedules his jobs at 7pm and 8pm so he his home to help me put our DS and DD to bed.

On the weekend he sees them all day.

DH sees DS for atleast 2-3 hours every night. And then we usually spend most weekends as a family. We try to get out of the house with DS every weekend, whether it's to parties or the mall or out to eat.

not much ~ he works a lot. Maybe and hour or two @ night. Sometimes not at all if he is working late! The weekends he spends more time with ds

M-F my DH doesn't see DS at all. He hates it, but he is lucky to have a job right now, so we have to make it work for now.

He sees Emerson in the morning while he's getting ready for work but I'm taking care of her. (about 1hr) He sees her for about an hour when he gets home from work before she goes to bed. On weekends he is with us all day.

weekdays, we spend time with her from 6-8pm when she goes to sleep

on the weekends, I am with her all the time...some times DH does side jobs or plays golf for about 4 hours. Aside from that, he is with us

both of us work.... I think we each spend about 4 hours a day with him? Actually, DH might spend a bit more time with him becuase I'm usually cooking while he's with DS.

DH is a teacher, so he is home very early. He gets home at 3 and spends time with them until bedtime, which is around 6/7 pm. And then all weekend.

Weekdays...only about 30 minutes a day.

Weekends...he is with them 24/7.

He's a VERY hands-on dad...it kills him that he barely sees them during the week due to his work hours.
