Ideas for Gavin's 1st Birthday Party
Hi Ladies,
I can't believe Gavin is going to be 1 on April 7. The year has flown by.
Anyway, we are having Gavin's 1st Birthday Party on Saturday, April 4.
Just a small family and close friends party. We are going to have pizza and cake or maybe cupcakes.
Lori from AvaJack Photography will be there to capture the special day. I knew I wanted her there to capture all the special moments and capturing him interacting with me, Phil, our family, our friends, his friends who refer to him as Baby Gavin etc.. Those pictures will be priceless and something we will treasure forever!
Sorry, I went off on a tangent. What I am asking, is what other ideas can I do to make it more special or to save certain momentos, something Gavin can read in the future about the day???

Have you thought of getting one of those autograph bears. I think they have them in most party supply stores. They're cute and everyone there can add their own special saying and wishes to him and its something he can keep forever.

My sister made my DS a shadow box. She put everythng from photos, cards, the invite, the paper good and so on. She also wrote him a letter for him to open in years to come.

you could have everyone write a special message for Gavin and save it for him for when he's older.I'm thinking of doing something like that for DD.

I am going to frame one of the photos that Lori took and put a large matte around it for people to sign and then I will frame it.
We are having a cupcake theme with tons of cupcakes! Ella's party is also going to be on April 4th!! Her real birthday is March 27th.

I wrote DD a letter on her b-day and plan on writing one every year and giving them to her when she is older.
My friend Lauren is a new vendor on here - Cupcakes Catering and makes awesome cupcakes in any theme. Check her out!

Not sure about cupcakes yet, my sister is going to bake them. I told her to make ones with lots and lots of frosting!!!
