Day 2 start today
I went, I saw, made a mess on the exam table...yadda...
Dr. Spandorfer examined me..
...what are the chances that I will see him again?
The nurse..or assistant wasn't much warmer either.
Glad that's over with.
I should start tonight on the Gonal F and Menopur. Giant amounts of stims...
So no follicles I guess because I'm supressed. But I have a teeny cyst on the left side which they say is nothing.
I asked him about the antral follicles..(stay off the internet, Susan) and he said nothing yet but after the meds hopefully.
I panicked that I should have at least a few quiet ones but after speaking with the IVF nurse she said it's normal, I'm supressed and they might be there but too little to see.
Either way, I know I'm going to need lots of stims to get me there. She made me feel better.
Call should come in by 7 for instructions. I will probably go back again on Sat or Sunday for a check.
My head hurts.

what time? i was there at about 7:50 and I left there about 9:30. I was in and out of different areas though during that time.

I was also sitting right in front of reception. They called me up to reception a few times because my husband's credit card wasn't accepting the charges...then I was on the cell phone asking him for another card....I probably looked totally flustered and stressed. I'll have to look around more next time. I think I go again tomorrow (and the next day and the next day......).

Sorry you had that issue. There was a woman with her husband having that issue to my right I think. I tried not to pay attention..none of my biz..ya know.
I was reading and trying to make an assessment of who was before me.
Not to put anyone's doc down, but I'm not a fan of Spandorfer. I was in tears after the exam and I was speaking to an IVF nurse. I got some reassuring info so I'm better but she says he talks fast and doesn't always make things clear. Hey, the exam was quick thankfully and it didn't hurt.
I really was hoping Davis was there but I guess it will be a crap shoot from now on.
I hate that the LI office is not open on weekends. Those docs are in the city office on weekends. grr...
I have a feeling I will be calling someone tonight about the Gonal F pen.
eta: I will probably be there Sat or Sunday.

Cornell is not a hand holding type place...you'll find that most RE's are very rushed during morning monitoring...and believe it or not Spandorfer is Mr Personality telling jokes and what not when he has the time

ok, I appreciate the perspective. Maybe Davis would be the same way during morning monitoring.
I wasn't expecting hand holding but I know that many people cycle more than once, and this was my first and day 2. I've never had a day 2 exam in my life..I was uneasy about it to begin with. I'm over it but nobody told me anything. I sat on the table with my undies on waiting about 10 minutes for the doc. When he came in I had to take them off and I think they were annoyed. Holy blood man, I didn't want to mess up the whole room.
Then he showed me the cyst and said it was nothing but he was leaving the room I had questions and it was like he couldn't be bothered.
I had my customer hat on at that moment thinking that I'm actually paying for this torture..answer my questions and don't make me feel like an idiot.

I have to go back for blood only Saturday. Yuck..early on a Sat.
I guess I'd better get used to it.

My doc answers many of my questions via email and quickly too! Maybe you can see if that is an option in your practice.
IMO - If you have a question, don't let it go unanswered, this is not a process that you want to have too many "what ifs" You shouldn't need to guess, you see a specialist because it's a special situation, you are owed answers.
