Going out for Italian tonight with an aversion to meat, poultry and tomato sauce
I don't know what to eat- I feel like a jerk ordering some sort of pasta and butter, but I can't tolerate tomato sauce right now due to the acidic taste in my mouth and have a huge aversion to meat, poultry. I am also allergic to seafood

what about chicken, or shrimp francaise?
orrrr....any seafood, with garlic and oil, or a fish dish..salmon oreganato etc..
shrimp scampi, theres alot of things you can still eat, and youre making me hungry :) lol

I can relate. Last time I went out for Italian I ordered regular ravioli in a garlic and oil sauce. It tasted good and didn't kill me with heartburn.

I just did this the other night. We went to Tony Dinapoli's in the city and I have a horrible aversion to meat and tomato sauce lately. I ate fettucini with alfredo sauce and I was fine.

I am a vegetarian and I eat Italian ALL the time-- it's one of the easiest meals to go out for.
So, of course, I never eat fish or meat... and if you are having an aversion to tomato sauce, just get something in an olive oil. I would ask them to keep it light on the oil though-- so, it's not too greasy. That usually affects me in a bad way.
I am having Italian tonight as well- and have had a sensitive stomach for the past few days, so I am thinking I should stay away from tomato sauce as well!

The problem for me right now is the sour taste I have in my mouth all day that seems to be enhanced by anything sweet, acidic or bitter. Garlic is giving me a problem too I would really love some BBQ chix pizza (an exception to my food aversions) from the restaurant we are going to, but I am not sure they will let me order pizza by the slice in the dining room and they do not make personal pizzas (I can always ask if they will do that I suppose.) I will probably either try for alfredo and keep my fingers crossed or just get some kind of pasta with butter.

hahaha - add cheese to that, and you're me!
I LOVE CHEESE, and i can't even smell it lately.
I'd definitely order a pasta with oil and garlic, broccoli rabe or spinach, etc.
