What are your parenting related fears?
I'm sure many of us are fearful or anxious about labor and delivery, but what about once the baby is born? What are some of your fears re: becoming a mom?
I'm afraid of getting PPD, not knowing how to distinguish the baby's cries, and not being able to balance working full-time and taking care of the baby. I've also heard the first year after the baby is one of the hardest periods in a marriage. I worry how our relationship will change.

1. That I will not know what I am doing
2. That my marriage will suffer
3. That I will clash with family members who will try to tell me what to do.

autism - working with autistic children has made me fearful of it for some time now

I think I have the same exact fears as you. I am especially fearful of balancing my career and home life. I'm a teacher and although I really like my job, it's a job where you have to be "on" all day. It's nice to come home now and just chill. I am also fearful of how my marriage will be affected. We have a very good relationship and I really don't want that to change. Having a baby is a life-changing event!

I am afraid of not being able to help my child when he/she comes across an issue that I have not mastered. I am afraid of passing along my bad characteristics and flaws too.
