glad I'm not alone! I'm BFing, so I'm not sure of the ounces, but Erik eats every 1.5 hours (he's 5.5 weeks). 2 hours is a dream! He does this at night too - I'm tired!! Chat Icon

My son is almost 3 weeks old and he is drinking 4oz every 2.5-3 hours. My pediatrician says as long as he wants it and isn't throwing up, then he isn't eating too much.

Re: 4 oz at 4 weeks every 2.5 hours??? Isn't that alot?

I just checked my log and DS was doing 40oz in 24 hours at 4 weeks Chat Icon

He was actually taking 6-7oz every 3 hours during the day but then he was sleeping from 10-3/4am, taking a bottle and going back until 7/8. My Dr wanted me to cut back as her recommended amount was up to 36oz in a day but DS would have no part of it at that age!

No- not a lot. DS was having 6 oz at 6 weeks so he was probably having 5 oz at a time at 4 oz. He was only having 6 bottles though.

Funny, I just talked to my friend who had a Chat Icon born the SAME day as Jack, and he is eating 4 oz every 3 hours. I guess it sounds normal to me Chat Icon

Nope just hungry and growing....

Caden was getting 6oz at 4 weeks..and it was every 3-4 hours...it was insane..he went from 7lbs 2oz 20inches the day he came home from the hospital to 14lbs 7oz 24inches at 8 weeks...I guess he just needed the grub for all the growing he was doing.
