Re: Salads

My current favorite is organic baby romaine with southwest grilled chicken, sliced orange bell peppers, walnuts and a touch of salsa instead of dressing.

Re: Salads

You also don't need to include lettuce for it to be a salad. A summer one I love is tomato, cucumber, low-fat feta, red onion, chickpeas or black beans, 1/4 avocado, and corn. Then I add balsamic vinegar and olive oil and mix.....mmmm. I try to make it all organic if possible. You can also add some herbs!

I like tomato, red onion, mint and lemon as a salad.

Also love spinach, mandarin oranges, red onion, hard boiled egg and sesame dressing.

Re: Salads

I love things that give it good flavor, like a red onion, or some beans (garbonzo or canellini). Some feta cheese. And I usually find it more filled to add either grilled chicken or shrimp to it.

Re: Salads

My favorite salad always consists of red leaf lettuce (or romaine), red onions and red cabbage. I sometimes make my own dressing (olive oil, lemon juice, crushed garlic, salt and pepper) or I use 2 Tbsp of Marie's Lite Bleu Cheese Dressing Chat Icon

If I am making it a meal (which is rare) I bulk it up with cheese, grilled chicken or chicken cutlets.

I also love sunflower seeds on my salads Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon
