Cancelled Cycle
No a surprise by any means.....
Unfortunately after the nurses goof - telling me to take the wrong doses of medication - I only had one good mature egg so they decided to go for insemination - unfortunately hubbies sperm decided not to cooperate - his count was below 500,000. SO instead of letting this go on longer and torturing ourselves...we cancelled the cycle.
I spoke with the nurse manager and she apologized about the nurses screw up and explained the nurse felt horrible. She said that everyone was given a talking to and they all felt horrible. I think they were more worried about legal ramifications.....
Anyway, this cycle is over and now its time for me to move on and find another doctor.
I wish I was closer to NY because it sounds like you girls have great doctors near you. Unfortunately, I need to stick with the Doctors in PA and NJ for now. Thanks for all your support during this cycle. GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE....
I am taking a few month break again..joining CURVES and seeing if I can shed some pounds...maybe that will help (at least that's what I was told - weight is a big factor for infertility).

So sorry for what you went through. As if the IVF wasn't draining enough of an experience.
What about "cost"...Since they made an error, you shouldnt be held responsible for cost or insurance using up a cycle or anything?
Have a nice relaxing break and Im sure you will feel a lot better when you are ready to try again.

I agree you should be compensated for your expenses before you walk away.
have you ever thought of taking a 2 week vacation in NYC? Alot of people do it to cycle here. Good luck

That's got to be such a let down.
I agree with Donna and Pauline, make sure you get some kind of compensation from them for their mistake.

Sorry! If you are going to be taking a break you should look into natural remedies for your DH. If you do a search on how to improve sperm counts naturally you will find a bunch of stuff. GL
