What would you do? UPDATE

I was scheduled for my 12 week appointment for this weds., but the doctor had to reschedule me. So now I am scheduled for the 19th, just found out DH can't make it. Do I reschedule it again and push it back even more (when dh and I are really anxious to see the little bean is still doing well), or do I go without him (which would make me sad too)?

ETA: The doctor found an evening appointment for me on 3/21 so that Dh can come too!Chat Icon I have to wait a couple of extra days but it is worth it if Dh can come. Thanks for the support.

Re: What would you do?

See if you can reschedule. Do you know for sure that you'll be getting an ultrasound? If you aren't, is there really a reason for your DH to go?

I would keep the original appointment and go without DH. I hate missing appointments, I would rather go alone and bring home a picture (if you have an U/S) than miss it and have to wonder if everything is ok.

Just go without him. He'll enjoy and can plan ahead for your Level II. That lasts for aabout 30 min-hour and the baby is really something to see then.

Dh only went to one regular ob appointment and it was because it happen to be on Sat. I wouldn't reschecule. As long as he is their for your major sonograms I think that is enough.

Re: What would you do?

I personally would go to the appointment without him. I wouldn't want to wait any longer than I have to for another appointment...and you'll have a picture to show him from the doctor, right?

I personally would reschedule. My DH was mesmerized by the first sonogram and every one since. I can't imagine him missing any.

Re: What would you do?

DH missed the 1st sono with baby #1...don't fret.

It's the 20 week where you see all the body parts and that bean jumping around that blows their mind!

Re: What would you do?

If it's an ultrascreen, you can't hold that off too long.

Also, if you really want him there, tell them. They are the ones that changed your appt and they should be a bit more flexible.

Re: What would you do?

Doesn't the ultrascreen HAVE to be done by a certain week (12 or 13). I wouldn't reschedule it to any later than necessary- it's more important to have the timing correct....

Yeah, it has to be done within a certian time limit, so if they can't move it up, then I am out of luck and dh can't come.

Explain the situation... and beg ... and plead... and see if they'll make arrangements. Good luck!Chat Icon

Glad he's going with you. It's so amazing to see the baby on the sonogram for this test!
